Tha C-meal!

No I'm not talking about corn meal but I need to get on some turn-corn-meal pronto! This week we had corn dogs, corn and carrot! It really wasn't planned per say- it just happened!

On a quest for something different we've stumbled upon many different things that I never believed could have been vegan! not to mention my cravings have a lot to do with it...I wonder if I would be eating all these things if I was still in England...*shrugs*

The corn dogs were interesting to make but totally worth it! :D

RICE KRISPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Found a VEGAN recipe-got some rice krispies and I've been borderline diabetic ever since! They are just so good! They are also so easy to make! Just warm the necessary liquid ingredients (google it!)....

Add it to the rice krispies and stir. It started to pop and it was like music to my ears-I love to hear them pop! I shouldn't but you have to find the joy in the small things right? And anyways I don't enjoy this as  much when I'm having it as cereal because I am in such a rush that the popping is lost on me!

Pat it down in a greased pan and then allow to cool.

Cut them up and serve!....Bring on the diabetes :D

Feliz Sabado- our thought for today is :

Those who have done nothing in life, are not qualified to judge those that have done little.
Samuel Johnson

LOL-I promise this has nothing to do with the rice krispies ;)

Wonderful friends....

"The world is so empty if on thinks only of mountains, rivers, and cities;
but to know someone here and there who thinks and feels with us and who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the Earth an in habited garden."

By Goethe

There are very few people that can handle my full on crazy but I have to admit Emily is one of them! She seen me through the good, the bad, and the ugly; she's even joined me on some of them! The time is fast approaching when we're gonna have to separate and man, that's gonna be one heck of a day.Need to try and man this one out cause when the waterworks start there's no telling when they will end :(...

Just a thought....

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
a father’s delight is behind all this. Proverbs 3:5-12

Words....

Cold words freeze people, and hot words scorch them, and bitter words make them bitter, and wrathful words make them wrathful. Kind words also produce their image on men's souls; and a beautiful image it is. They smooth, and quiet, and comfort the hearer...
Blaise Pascal

Quote o' the day!

So today before we went to school Em and I decided to put on mascara-a very RARE occurrence! For no reason really and then we found out that today was "El dia de la mujer" basically-Ladies Day....you'd think they'd at least give us a half day...anyways back to what I was saying. While we were walking, Emily suddenly comes out with, "I'm really distracted by my eyelashes" (she says mesmerized-smh) Then obviously I started laughing at her then she got distracted by MY eyelashes! ahhh! Good times!

Back to the actual quote-

"Work is not primarily a thing one does to live, but the thing one lives to do. It is, or should be the full expression of the worker's faculties, and the thing in which he finds spiritual, mental, and bodily satisfaction, and the medium in which he offers himself to God." Dorothy Leigh Sayers

Biscuits 'n' gravey

Is there anything like it? Anything before it? Anything after it? Doubt it! Every since that day Emily told me she could make it, I've been completely smitten! Yep with them both! ;) I'm not talking about them baking soda biscuits from KFC either. These bad boys are the real deal! So you know, this is going be a staple meal in my house from now on! There's nothing like a fresh baked biscuit alongside some steaming gravey on any day to satisfy the soul! Pictures coming soon!
